Autism spectrum disorders (ASD) are the fastest growing serious developmental disabilities in the United States. They are more prevalent than childhood cancers, juvenile diabetes and pediatric AIDS combined.
The incidence of autism is increasing dramatically. Across the nation as many as one in 100 children will be diagnosed with ADS.
In San Diego, projecting current incidence rates, approximately 267 new children will be born each year with ASD.
Your support today will make certain Rady Children's Hospital has the needed resources to provide diagnosis, treatment and research for all our area children, which will lead to improving quality of lives and ultimately to eradicating the disorder altogether.
